The purpose of the organization is to provide dropout prevention to students of dekalb foster care, dekalb juvenile court and the dekalb public school system. This will be accomplished through the collaborative efforts of dekalb county school system, dekalb juvenile courts and the dekalb department of family and children services. The organization addresses youth from dekalb foster care environments, youth that have been suspended; have behavioral problems in the dekalb school environment; rebellious to parental guidance, juvenile offenders; at-risk of becoming a teen parent; or contracting sexually transmitted diseases. Efforts are also made to transform the family unit while also reducing the expression of at-risk behaviors among the youth. They also provide educational and interpersonal related support services for high-risk yough who are transitioning from restrictive placements and are seeking successful re-entry into their school, home and/or community.
