The mission of renewable energy institute international (reii) was to support the research, development, demonstration and commercial deployment of next generation technologies for the efficient, economical and environmentally friendly production of clean fuels and clean energy from renewable cellulosic biomass and stranded fossil fuel resources.Reii supports research, development, demonstration and deployment programs on renewable energy and alternative fuels in collaboration with government, industry, academia, institutes and non-government organizations. our mission was to identify the most promising breakthrough renewable energy technologies that can get past design and market hurdles that may hold back their use worldwide. reii provides a roadmap for attacking the barriers to the use of these promising technologies and creates a network of collaborating international research organizations to implement the steps along that pathway to achievement.
