Performing arts foundation of powhatan, inc. is a non-profit, non-stock corporation organized exclusively for charitable, educational, or scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the irc of 1986, including, without limitation, the purposes of promoting the performance of work of musical, artistic, or literary merit in the central virginia area and educating the public concerning such works. our purpose is to advance artistic and cultural diversity in powhatan for the enjoyment and education of our citizens and as a means of building community. our vision is to capture the imagination of our community by creating a regional, state of the art cultural arts organization, presenting prominent talent and showcasing local gifted artists, young and old.
