The foundation shall be organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including, but not limited to, making of distributions to only those organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under the irs code section 501(c)(3), as amended. accordingly, the foundation conducts research and presents educational events regarding the early origins of chronic disease. this is carried out, in part, with studies using imaging technologies of children who had poor nutrition and growth before birth and related studies of women's diets and babies growth prior to birth. the information gathered through the research activities is then provided to the public, industry, and the scientific community through a variety of methods such as articles, publications, speaking engagements, and conferences.
