IRS 990 Nonprofit Profile

Dalmatian Rescue Of Delaware INC

Dalmatian Rescue of Delaware, Inc.'s main goal is to rescue Dalmatians and other breeds from shelters and abuse/abandonment situations and find them loving permanent homes where they will never be unwanted again. We foster them in our homes until a suitable home can be found, evaluate them, get them the medical care they need and give them lots and lots of love. Other goals are to educate the public on the importance of spay/neuter for all dogs and cats and the destruction of deaf Dal puppies. It is a requirement of all breeeders who belong to the Dalmatian Club of America that all pups born deaf be destroyed at 5 weeks of age or younger. We hope to change this ruling by making the public aware that this is happening, and with the media's help, introducing the public to the many endearing qualities of the deaf Dal.
