South metro microenterprise coalition, inc. The mission of south metro microenterprise coalition, inc. Is to stimulate economic self-sufficiency within the south metro area by providing resources, training and tools for self-employment to strengthen and sustain entrepreneurial development. Our history south metro microenterprise coalition, inc., a non-profit corporation, emerged through the efforts of local united ways, banks, and other founding partners. In july of 1998, the l.e.n.d.e.r.s. Network was formed to serve families in several georgia counties that were receiving tanf (temporary assistance to needy families). By providing micro-enterprise education and small business loans the network hoped to assist the low-to-moderate income sector through entrepreneurship and through the benefits of financial literacy.
