Chico Carrasquel Foundation's (CCF's) will focus on one or two poor urban barrios, the first barrio for six months and then expand to a second one during the second six months. In succeeding years, the CCF will include more barrios and expand to other cities. The core activity will be baseball clinics that will meet weekly (e.g. Saturdays) on local playing fields where two trainers (established Venezuelan baseball players) will teach baseball skills, coach games, and impart such values as sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, persistence, and the importance of education.
