The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, or scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code, including, but not limite to, receiving and collecting funds from various persons and entities to establish an organization to represent the tragedy of the the Space Shuttle Columbia and to conceptualize, propose and provide funds and supervision for the most appropriate memorial to the astronauts who perished, the rescue workers who re-claimed them and all the citizens who have been impacted by this tragedy. One of the goals to be achieved throught this fund is the conceptualization and erection of an appropriate monument to memorizlize the tragedy of the Space Shuttle Columbia through funds obtained from varying sources throughout the county, state and natio
