Rooted in the landscape of the hudson valley, with the plays of william shakespeare as our touchstone, hudon valley shakespeare (hvs) engages the widest possible audience in a theatrical celebration of our shared humanity.In late 2019, hvs commenced a capital campaign to support the creation of a new outsoor, ecologically driven theater campus, in thanks to a generous benefactor who conveyed to the company 98 acres of river-view property in the hudson highlands. in 2024, hvs commenced construction on its new open-air theater facility, the samuel h scripps theater center. construction and fundraising are both ongoing.
