The purpose of the coalition is to promote, train and coordinate activities and cooperation among agencies providing services to runaway/homeless youth, other youth at risk, and/ or their families, but not to care directly or indirectly for such youth or their families; to assist properly authorized agencies to develop, demonstrate and promote new client centered services and treatment methods; to provide a channel of communications for the circulation of information in order to increase public awareness of the needs, rights and opportunities of youth; to promote communications between members, service agencies, and local, state and national organizations serving or having jurisdiction over youth.
