AS WAS THE CASE FOR MANY NONPROFITS, PUBLIC SUPPORT FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY HAS DECLINED IN RECENT YEARS IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE GENERAL ECONOMIC CONDITIONS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THE FOUNDATION INTENDS TO CONTINUE SOLICITING CONTRIBUTIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESS ENTITIES LOCATED IN THE CORVALLIS, OREGON AREA. 3. PERCENTAGE OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT. AS REFLECTED ON LINE 14, THE 2011 PUBLIC SUPPORT FRACTION IS 11.90%. THE FOUNDATION RECEIVES A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF ITS TOTAL SUPPORT FROM INVESTMENT INCOME ON ITS ENDOWMENT FUND WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY DONATED BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC. 4. SOURCES OF SUPPORT. THE FOUNDATION RECEIVES ITS SUPPORT FROM A REPRESENTATIVE NUMBER OF PERSONS AND ORGANIZATIONS IN THE CORVALLIS, OREGON AREA RATHER THAN RECEIVING MOST OF ITS SUPPORT FROM THE MEMBERS OF A SINGLE FAMILY OR A SMALL NUMBER OF PERSONS. THE FOUNDATION HAS BEEN A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION SINCE 2002. 5. REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNING BODY. THE FOUNDATION'S GOVERNING BODY IS COMPRISED ENTIRELY OF VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. 6. MISSION AND PROGRAM.
