charge. by offering educational materials directly to schools and students, music workshop empowers teachers with the necessary resources to enrich their curriculm. recognizing that music education often focuses on european cultures, music workshop launched its culture series. in the last 36 months, we've developed seven new courses, including navtive american tradtl music, latin american,caribbean music, and south american, and tradtl music from the african continent and music from the continent of asia. these courses provide students with a sense of belonging when their cultural heritage is positively integrated into their academic learning. for all students, classrooms that implement culture-based strategies have demostrated improved emotional well being, stronger relationships with adults, a deeper sense of belonging at school, and enhanced motivation, self-esteem, and ethnic pride. music is an ideal starting point for culturally responsive teaching as it transcends cultures and offers a universal experience. in total, music workshop offers 31 free-of-charge courses to participating schools, highlighting music history and appreciation across various musical subjects, including genres, instruments, careers, and music from diverse cultures. to date, we have educated over 5 million students in 12,000 schools across all 50 state and 99
