Studies have shown that our programs lead to reduced pain, isolation, anxiety and depression and improve family cohesiveness. Great escape includes nuggets and rockies games, skate with du hockey team, santa's sleigh ride to the north pole via united airlines, creative and art based events, educational clinics, days at the zoo, miniature golf, bowling and more.\n\nFun packs: fun packs are durable, cheerful backpacks filled with hospital-friendly, activities, games and necessities that provide some joy and comforts of home that are given to the child and their family, when first admitted into the hospital. The fun packs are a very important resource for hospital staff because so many of their patients come in with little or nothing, so a fun pack can provide simple necessities and distractions that would otherwise be absent.\n\nOther program services\n\nHospital Happenings: Fun-filled special hospital events that bring musicians, clowns and other entertainers to pediatric hospital patients- even those who are bedridden- to provide a morale boost and important social interaction. These events include Halloween, Valentine's Day and holiday parties; a total of 25 events were held this year.
