In the first part of fiscal year 2009-2010, Fieldstone distributed publications that provide practical, how-to information related to nonprofit operations and challenges. Fieldstone also maintains a website with a wealth of knowledge resources, and distributes a monthly e-newsletter \"tools you can use\" to leaders in the sector. Throughout the 2009 - 2010 fiscal year, Fieldstone awarded and distributed $827,547 of grants to variety of organizations throughout the U.S... During this fiscal year, Fieldstone leadership decided to dissolve the organization due to future expected expenses exceeding forecasted revenue. As a result, a majority of the staffs were laid off and the book publishing business was sold in August 2010. The dissolution of Fieldstone will become final after all payments from the sale are received and all liabilities have been paid.\n\nThe mission of fieldstone alliance is to strengthen the performance of the nonprofit sector.
