The Clinic is staffed by graduate students enrolled in the Master of science in taxation program at the University of North Texas as well as pro bono donations of services from local CPA's and tax attorneys.100% OF DONATIONS ARE FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND A MAJORITY OF DONATIONS OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS WERE RECEIVED FROM TWELVE INIDIVIDUAL DONORS. NO INCOME WAS RECEIVED FROM INTEREST, DIVIDENDS, GAINS, OR OTHER FORMS OF INVESTMENT INCOME. BOARD MEMBERSHIP CONSISTS OF TWO CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS AND A TAX ATTORNEY. DONATIONS ARE SOLICITED FROM THEIR CLIENTS, WHO RECEIVE NO BENEFIT WHATSOEVER FROM THE ORGANIZATION. DONATIONS RECEIVED ARE ENTIRELY USED FOR RUNNING THE CLINIC. DUE TO HAVING A LOW OPERATING BUDGET, THERE ARE LITTLE TO NO FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR THE FUNDRAISING COSTS OF ATTRACTING A LARGE DONOR BASE. Clinic facilities also house the VITA program sponsored by our local United Way and the Dallas IRS Taxpayers' Advocates Office. IN ADDITION, THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC GREATLY IMPACTED THE ORGANIZATION'S ABILITY TO ATTRACT DONORS BECAUSE THE CLINIC'S PHYSICAL LOCATION WAS FORCED TO SHUT ITS DOORS PURSUANT TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDERS.
