This year the ratio is 20%.(ii) Attraction of Public Support: Because the Trust is dedicated to support of public parks in Houston, it has to date attracted gifts from over 100 contributors during its existence. In its early years, the Trust received permanent funding from a relatively small number of contributors. Due to its success during the initial fund-raising phase, the donations received exceeded the Trust's monetary goal, resulting in a significant endowment. The Trust now conducts ongoing fund-raising efforts designed to raise contributor dollars to match investment income. (iii). Percentage of Financial Support: The Trust received 42% public support in its first five years. Due to its significant endowment, its public support ratio is below 33-1/3% this year, but is 20% -- well above the minimum of 10% required for the facts and circumstances test. (iv). Sources of Support. The Trust receives its support from a representative number of persons, rather than receiving almost all of its support from the members of a single family. As stated above, The Trust has to date received gifts from more than 100 different contributors.(v) Representative Governing Body. This year the ratio is 16%.(ii) Attraction of Public Support: Because the Trust is dedicated to support of public parks in Houston, it has to date attracted gifts from over 100 contributors during its existence. Due to its significant endowment, its public support ratio is below 33-1/3% this year, but is 16% -- well above the minimum of 10% required for the facts and circumstances test. (iv). Sources of Support. The Trust receives its support from a representative number of persons, rather than receiving almost all of its support from the members of a single family. As stated above, the Trust has to date received gifts from more than 100 different contributors.(v) Representative Governing Body. The Trust's governing body is composed of civic and business leaders none of whom are related to one another. A list of trustees is shown in Part VII. None of the trustees are substantial contributors.(vi). Availability of Facilities or Services and Public Participation. The Trust does not itself own parkland.
