The AZRDC presented the 6th annual Rural Policy Forum, an engaging conference with over 200 attendees from throughout Arizona. This conference provided useful and timely information to small businesses and non-profits about the resources that exist to help strengthen rural and tribal Arizona. In addition, over 10 statewide funders were present and provided hands on expertise to non-profits about how to acquire funding for much needed rural programs. The AZRDC developed and oversaw a program called MASH in Mohave County at the Kingman Regional Medical Facility. This program served 2 dozen high school students who attended 2 weeks of hands-on education about the career opportunities available in a rural regional medical facility. Students learned about everything from physical therapy to speech therapy to custodial services and laboratory technical assistance to research.
