Prepaid military phone/px gift cards levels of 2009 were maintained around 1,000 due to internet communication and increased support of combat units, the personal welfare needs became the primary mission of the organization for 2010. 2) health, welfare and requested useful product goods were purchased with the supplement of a $20,000 grant award written by moms volunteers/exelon employees and received from exelon corporation. In addition a product grant written by moms and received from united parcel service freight/ups foundation of $5,000 contained in care boxes with in-kind donations. 3) volunteer participation on a daily basis, by accommodating corporate, business and community volunteers, veterans, military families, girl scouts, individual and core organization to name a few, increased substantially, in order to provide for the multitude of tasks/leadership rolls needed to be completed or managed to fulfill the mission of the organization. Such tasks include product inspection/recording, perishable goods and quality control, inventory levels/logistical numbers for packaging, facility group volunteer leadership and managment, facility/warehouse maintenance, etc., resulting in the assembly of more than 168,000 individual product mission packs facilitated in moms care boxes in addition to letters, cards, more than 20,000 donated items from the girl scout council from cookies to peanuts, nuts and confectionaries, frito lay corporate volunteers providing time and product packages of more than 3,500 and comcast volunteers providing holiday package confectionaries along with increased community organization collections facilitated in care boxes. 4) the advisory board assumed key and active rolls in the outreach process and for support needed to obtain outstanding and successful results. The challenge grows and remains a daily one with a struggling economy along with time for purpose in development of key individuals for the future of the organization and a future board of directors 5) the honor and respect program of welcome homes and send-off's increased with the addition of military families volunteerism and knowledge of the moms organization. It's apparent there are many needs of military families which need to be addressed as their support role is vital to the successful mission of our active duty and currently seperated U.S.. In addition, 330 care packages for returning soldiers support combined with 12,000 boxes of girl scout cookies were delivered directly via the organization and two local girl scout troops to fort campbell, kentucky with one on one distribution on base and to local illinois military reserve and guard units, providing the equivalent of 2,044 care packages containing more than 16, 950 pounds of beneficial goods. 2) health, welfare and requested useful product goods were purchased with the supplement of a $5,000 grant award received in 2010 from united parcel service freight/ups foundation (ups). Ups doubled its grant to $10,000 for tax year ended december 31, 2011, which funds will be expensed in tax year 2012. Ups continued in its outreach and support efforts for america's military men and women, partnering with moms, resulting in aggregate 2011 donations via the ups united way cfc of $12,888.10. With these funds we were able to provide direct support of goods and products not obtained through in kind donations to deployed service members in afghanistan finding themselves in more desolate area's. 3)due to the advances in internet communications, military phone cards were minimally supplied, along with the challenge of funding in the current economic environment. The organization's focus turned to the numerous needs of military families combined with those of returning service members, assisting in not only material needs, but volunteerism and channeling of other existing local and community programs to assist them. IN ADDITION, 330 CARE PACKAGES FOR RETURNING SOLDIERS SUPPORT COMBINED WITH 12,000 BOXES OF GIRL SCOUT COOKIES WERE DELIVERED DIRECTLY VIA THE ORGANIZATION AND TWO LOCAL GIRL SCOUT TROOPS TO FORT CAMPBELL, KENTUCKY WITH ONE ON ONE DISTRIBUTION ON BASE AND TO LOCAL ILLINOIS MILITARY RESERVE AND GUARD UNITS, PROVIDING THE EQUIVALENT OF 2,044 CARE PACKAGES CONTAINING MORE THAN 16, 950 POUNDS OF BENEFICIAL GOODS. 2) HEALTH, WELFARE AND REQUESTED USEFUL PRODUCT GOODS WERE PURCHASED WITH THE SUPPLEMENT OF A $5,000 GRANT AWARD RECEIVED IN 2010 FROM UNITED PARCEL SERVICE FREIGHT/UPS FOUNDATION (UPS). UPS DOUBLED ITS GRANT TO $10,000 FOR TAX YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2011, WHICH FUNDS WILL BE EXPENSED IN TAX YEAR 2012. UPS CONTINUED IN ITS OUTREACH AND SUPPORT EFFORTS FOR AMERICA'S MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN, PARTNERING WITH MOMS, RESULTING IN AGGREGATE 2011 DONATIONS VIA THE UPS UNITED WAY CFC OF $12,888.10. WITH THESE FUNDS WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE DIRECT SUPPORT OF GOODS AND PRODUCTS NOT OBTAINED THROUGH IN KIND DONATIONS TO DEPLOYED SERVICE MEMBERS IN AFGHANISTAN FINDING THEMSELVES IN MORE DESOLATE AREA'S. 3)DUE TO THE ADVANCES IN INTERNET COMMUNICATIONS, MILITARY PHONE CARDS WERE MINIMALLY SUPPLIED, ALONG WITH THE CHALLENGE OF FUNDING IN THE CURRENT ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT. THE ORGANIZATION'S FOCUS TURNED TO THE NUMEROUS NEEDS OF MILITARY FAMILIES COMBINED WITH THOSE OF RETURNING SERVICE MEMBERS, ASSISTING IN NOT ONLY MATERIAL NEEDS, BUT VOLUNTEERISM AND CHANNELING OF OTHER EXISTING LOCAL AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS TO ASSIST THEM. WITH MOMS OUTREACH, A GRANT OF $2,500 WAS WRITTEN AND OBTAINED TO ASSIST A LOCAL MILITARY WIFE AND FAMILY AS THEY ENCOUNTERED THE DISASTER OF A FIRE, DESTROYING ALL THEIR BELONGING, WHILE THE HUSBAND WAS DEPLOYED IN AFGHANISTAN , UNABLE TO RETURN TO ASSIST. 4) VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION CONTINUES ON A DAILY BASIS, BY ACCOMMODATING CORPORATE, BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS, VETERANS, MILITARY FAMILIES, GIRL SCOUTS, INDIVIDUAL AND CORE ORGANIZATION TO NAME A FEW, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR THE MULTITUDE OF TASKS/LEADERSHIP ROLLS NEEDED TO BE COMPLETED OR MANAGED TO FULFILL THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION.
