I completely volunteer my time.\n\nThe mission of a SISTAS is to foster a safe supportive and inclusive environment that empowers young women to discover their passions build self-confidence and achieve their full potential. The focus on mentoring skill-building and leadership development to help members navigate challenges pursue educational or career goals and cultivate healthy confident future.\n\nEach June when the college students return to New York at the end of their semesters and along with the high school students we come together to celebrate everyones accomplishments. I and several of my family and friends donate our time and have an annual SISTAS luncheon. I personally rent an event space purchase and cook all dishes and provide the activities for the event.
