The services provided help to people with disabilities to socialize and build relationships with others in the community. The program also provides training on daily living skills. The services provided to participants are tailored to match each individual based on his or her preferences and needs. The program also provides expanded opportunities for a variety of community experiences. The Art Bridge Studio gives participants with physical and developmental disabilities an outlet for recreation, therapy and self expression. The visual arts are the primary emphasis of the Studio. Participants express themselves making ceramics, woodworking, modeling clay and painting. The philosophy of the program is to allow the person's disability to work for them. This perspective is taught through trial and error, historical context and the example of others. A group of participants within the program take their pursuit of a career as an artist very seriously, with one goal of the program being to market their work to a larger audience with the end result being to further their career.\n\nThe Reese Adult Day program in Newark provides a warm and supportive atmosphere for adults with disabilities and aging conditions. Caregivers can maintain employment or run errands knowing that their loved one is being cared for by natural caregivers, dedicated to making sure each individual's needs are met. Participants at the Reese Center have the option to enjoy daily exercise, visits from volunteers, and taking part in a discussion of current events. This year, 28 individuals were served through the grace kindig adult day care program.the victor warken habilitation program serves a diverse population of individuals 18 and older who have physical and/or mental disabilities. The services provided help to people with disabilities to socialize and build relationships with others in the community. The program also provides training on daily living skills. The services provided to participants are tailored to match each individual based on his or her preferences and needs. The program also provides expanded opportunities for a variety of community experiences. The art bridge studio gives participants with physical and developmental disabilities an outlet for recreation, therapy and self expression. The visual arts are the primary emphasis of the studio. Participants express themselves making ceramics, woodworking, modeling clay and painting. The philosophy of the program is to allow the person's disability to work for them. This perspective is taught through trial and error, historical context and the example of others. A group of participants within the program take their pursuit of a career as an artist very seriously, with one goal of the program being to market their work to a larger audience with the end result being to further their career.\n\nThe reese adult day program in newark provides a warm and supportive atmosphere for adults with disabilities and aging conditions. Caregivers can maintain employment or run errands knowing that their loved one is being cared for by natural caregivers, dedicated to making sure each individual's needs are met. Participants at the reese center have the option to enjoy daily exercise, visits from volunteers, and taking part in a discussion of current events. If you stop by the reese center in the warmer months, you'll find the participants and staff soaking up the sun in the green space! This year, 25 individuals were served through the reese adult day program.\n\nThe careers unlimited/employment program opens doors for people with disabilities through support to secure and maintain successful employment. The employment program offers career planning and assessment, job seeking skills training, travel training, job club, job coaching, placement services, and community based assessment and training. Through training, individuals gain confidence and learn skills necessary for them to obtain employment. This year, 42 individuals found employment through the careers unlimited/employment program.\n\nUnited cerebral palsy of central ohio merged out of existence on 1/2/11.
