The agency remains committed toward improving services to all clients and specifically targets the african american community, the primary recipient of our services. The targeted population for our agency also includes the following subgroups identified within the adamh community plan: adults involved in the criminal justice system, perpetrators of drug related domestic violence, iv drug users at risk of aids, urban crack abusing persons, women, and homeless individuals. The agency recognizes that individuals of the targeted population are in need of extensive services to empower them to begin to support sobriety and to address the educational, cultural and gender specific needs. The agency will continue to implement programs to effectively address these needs.\n\nIntensive outpatient project - the intensive outpatient component is designed to provide services to the referrals of the adult probation department and the current referral network system. The program will provide a three-day per week, three and one-half hours per day, eight-week program consisting of 90+ hours of intensive education, assessment, and counseling regime. Upon completion of the intensive program the consumer will be scheduled to attend aftercare services which will be provided through the current outpatient project program.\n\nWomen's network - the women's network program provides a comprehensive plan of cost effective and quality prevention services designed to enhance the access to treatment services, increase gender and culturally appropriate services to address women's issues, and to increase the number of babies born drug free. The program targets high risk females, specifically pregnant women and female youth. The services include intensive interim services, outreach activities, referral to social services, on-going gender specific groups, cross training and follow up activities to ensure access to treatment, prenatal and social support services and the delivery of healthy drug free babies.\n\nJobs - the job placement service is an essential component of empowering individuals to obtain employment. This program provides job search skill development, employer contacts and employment opportunities for clients. The job readiness program offers a comprehensive pre-employment skills training service for participants. The program provides a multitude of services including: one on one objective assessments, employability appraisal testing in math and reading, intensive pre-employment, job search classes, self esteem development, job placement assistance, resume development, public transportation, and employment motivational development training. This program is designed to meet the needs of individuals who have a long term history of unemployment problems due to secondary issues such as, incarceration, underemployment, low job skills and limited education.\n\nAnti-drug - this program is a school and community based prevention program targeting high risk youth. The program provides services and activities to raise the level of awareness of the negative impact of alcohol and other drugs. The program helps youth to become productive drug-free youth and requires involvement in various group activities designed to help youth overcome the tremendous environmental and social pressure to become involved in a voilent and drug lifestyle.\n\nHigh risk - the high risk program is a holistic, culturally specific school and community based within sullivant gardens. This program provides training and positive alternatives to self destructive life styles. This program provides social peer groups, conflict resolution skills development, awareness workshops, self-esteem building workshops and structured recreation activities. The targeted population for our agency also includes the following subgroups identified within the adamh community plan: adults involved in the criminal justice system, perpetrators of drug related domestic violence, iv drug users at risk of aids, urban crack abusing persons, women, and homeless individuals. The agency recognizes that individuals of the targeted population are in need of extensive services to empower them to begin to support sobriety and to address the educational, cultural and gender specific needs. The agency will continue to implement programs to effectively address these needs.\n\nIntensive outpatient project - the intensive outpatient component is designed to provide services to the referrals of the adult probation department and the current referral network system. The program will provide a three-day per week, three and one-half hours per day, eight-week program consisting of 90+ hours of intensive education, assessment, and counseling regime. Upon completion of the intensive program the consumer will be scheduled to attend aftercare services which will be provided through the current outpatient project program.\n\nWomen's network - the women's network program provides a comprehensive plan of cost effective and quality prevention services designed to enhance the access to treatment services, increase gender and culturally appropriate services to address women's issues, and to increase the number of babies born drug free. The program targets high risk females, specifically pregnant women and female youth. The services include intensive interim services, outreach activities, referral to social services, on-going gender specific groups, cross training and follow up activities to ensure access to treatment, prenatal and social support services and the delivery of healthy drug free babies.\n\nJobs - the job placement service is an essential component of empowering individuals to obtain employment. This program provides job search skill development, employer contacts and employment opportunities for clients. The job readiness program offers a comprehensive pre-employment skills training service for participants. The program provides a multitude of services including: one on one objective assessments, employability appraisal testing in math and reading, intensive pre-employment, job search classes, self esteem development, job placement assistance, resume development, public transportation, and employment motivational development training. This program is designed to meet the needs of individuals who have a long term history of unemployment problems due to secondary issues such as, incarceration, underemployment, low job skills and limited education.\n\nAnti-drug - this program is a school and community based prevention program targeting high risk youth. The program provides services and activities to raise the level of awareness of the negative impact of alcohol and other drugs. The program helps youth to become productive drug-free youth and requires involvement in various group activities designed to help youth overcome the tremendous environmental and social pressure to become involved in a voilent and drug lifestyle.\n\nHigh risk - the high risk program is a holistic, culturally specific school and community based within sullivant gardens.
