None of the biblical descriptions of love include erotic, romantic love. And if we are to attain and display the love God calls humanity to, we are to love differently. It may be an uphill climb, it certainly is a struggle against the culture but love, real love, is counter-cultural. And yet, it is exactly what the culture craves.
