Issues covered include training and professional development, direct support for artists, health insurance and health care for artists and artists spaces.the program connects activities taking place across the country, making the best practices of each affiliated program available to every other. This diverse network yields 1)increased resources for artists, 2)better policies surrounding conditions in which artists live and/or work and 3)better channels of information for and about artists within and between their communities\n\nARTIST SPACE: LINC is committed to increasing the knowledge of how artist spaces are created and sustained, and to demonstrating further the contributions artist space development (ASD) projects and artists can make to communities physically, socially, and economically. To this end, LINC provides ASD-related resources that are designed to be useful for a range of stakeholders, including local municipalities and public agencies, artist-focused organizations, community development corporations (CDCs), developers, and artists themselves. Specifically, LINC is working toward:1. Providing information, examples, and strategies needed by organizations, developers, and artists to make ASD projects come to fruition; 2. Supporting research that helps demonstrate the contributions artists make to community life; and 3. Linc provides financial resources and direct support for arts organizations in the linc network who are engaged in programming to meet the unique needs of individual artists in the areas of healthcare and health insurance. Stimulating the development of artist space by rewarding innovative ideas and disseminating information about them to promote learning.\n\nArtography is a national, competitive grantmaking program that supports the activities of small and mid-sized arts programs across the united states. The goals of the program are to recognize, strengthen, and reflect exemplary and diverse artistic and organizational practices as seen through a lens of changing demographics. Additionally, artography places emphasis on the various aspects of documentation that capture lessons and reveal greater appreciation for the national field of arts.\n\nCreative communities: this program is a nationwide network of organizations that work to make improvements in the local and regional environment for artists. Linc has invited local partners in 15 communities across the country to identify and address issues that affect artists working in all disciplines. These organizations receive planning & implementation grants and information resources from linc, as well as regular opportunities to meet and share lessons from their work. Issues covered include training and professional development, direct support for artists, health insurance and health care for artists and artists spaces.the program connects activities taking place across the country, making the best practices of each affiliated program available to every other. This diverse network yields 1)increased resources for artists, 2)better policies surrounding conditions in which artists live and/or work and 3)better channels of information for and about artists within and between their communities\n\nNational artist health insurance initiative: in partnership with the actors fund, this program delivers information and resources to artists, organizations, and communities on options for affordable, local healthcare and health insurance. Linc supports and disseminates research and other useful information through its website on the conditions facing artists within the U.S.. Healtchare and health insurance systems. Linc provides financial resources and direct support for arts organizations in the linc network who are engaged in programming to meet the unique needs of individual artists in the areas of healthcare and health insurance. Linc's goal is to connect as many artists as possible with information, and to cultivate programs thoughout the U.S..
