At a minimum, they will have access to shelter, food and water and receive regular and professional veterinary care. Crated animals will be let out for exercise, play and bodily functions as appropriate to the species. All lost animals are entitled to be reunited with their guardians. 2. Intake and Adoption Ethics Before taking in an animal, we will get the consent of the responsible guardian whenever possible. Potential adopters will be fully informed about the health, behavioral history, temperament and potential risk factors involved in becoming a specific animal's guardian. Adopters will be screened for personal and situational compatibility as thoroughly as our resources allow. We will sterilize all animals, as appropriate to the species. Post-adoption, we will follow up on the well being of every animal and its guardian family. Without exception, at any time in an animal's life, for any reason, we will accept return of an animal.
