We raised enough funds to: support a mission travel roster of 14 volunteers to ethiopia in august. While there we bought construction supplies to build a school, planted 300 trees, built sidewalks for schools, hosted a micro-finance workshop for local agencies, painted murals on courtyard walls at orphanages, delivered 4000 lbs of books and school supplies to rural areas, visited with ethiopian entrepreneurs to learn more about helping the community and visited state run orphanages. This school cost 15,000 to build, and includes three structures with a fourth structure that our mission team will personally build in june 2012, when we visit to deliver supplies. The davis moon project held our annual fundraiser and secured enough donations to provide school uniforms for 411 school children that attend the davis moon project school and raw materials for a fourth structure that will be used for the school library. Additionally in 2011, we held more than fifteen book and school supply drives with local partners, and gathered enough needed supplies to personally deliver to ethiopia in june of 2012.
