hosted memorial ceremonies each year to honor those who have dedicated their life to rebuilding new york state after 9 11. as new yorkers we woke up on september 11 2001 never conceptualizing that the future of our country would be forever changed. nevertheless new yorkers prevailed and we came together as a country to recover and rebuild in the aftermath. this sentiment of hope provided every one of us with pride in our nation. i am proud that the pataki center carried the same sentiment of hope and recovery to ukraine as we do our part to help support internally displaced ukrainian refugees
