Therefore, it was with a joyful heart that the Steering Committee came to the decision to dissolve the NOVA Emmaus Community and join its hands and hearts with the members of the Loudoun Valley Upper Room Walk to Emmaus. With this in mind, the NOVA Steering Committee directed that its assets be distributed to Loudoun Valley. A check for $6700.65 was written to Loudoun Valley Emmaus, with the understanding that the money be made available to the greater Loudoun Valley community for the purpose of sponsoring people from new churches (i.e., churches that have not traditionally been involved with Emmaus and which didn't have a substantial number of people who had walked. 1","explanation":"During 2011, the Steering Committee of the Upper Room Walk to Emmaus of Northern VA, Inc. prayed about the direction God was leading the members of the Community. We were so thankful for the wonderful support the Loudoun Valley Emmaus (LoVE) Community had given the NOVA Community over the past 4 years; however, we felt that our work could be best directed in direct concert with that of LoVE. Therefore, it was with a joyful heart that the Steering Committee came to the decision to dissolve the NOVA Emmaus Community and join its hands and hearts with the members of the Loudoun Valley Upper Room Walk to Emmaus. With this in mind, the NOVA Steering Committee directed that its assets be distributed to Loudoun Valley. A check for $6700.65 was written to Loudoun Valley Emmaus, with the understanding that the money be made available to the greater Loudoun Valley community for the purpose of sponsoring people from new churches (i.e., churches that have not traditionally been involved with Emmaus and which didn't have a substantial number of people who had walked.
